About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join our team at Providence Swedish. As a Mammography Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography exams using digital mammography equipment
  • Position patients for optimal imaging and ensure proper technique
  • Operate and maintain equipment, including digital mammography machines and computer systems
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of breast anatomy and pathology
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program, which meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current certification in mammography by the ARRT
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
