Job Title: Market Manager

Openwork Holdings LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Market Manager to join our team in Austin, TX. As a Market Manager, you will be responsible for leading our commercial staffing efforts in the Austin market, driving business growth, and delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sell, retain, and expand existing client accounts, and manage the branch team to meet or exceed branch goals (~70-80% sales, ~20-30% operations)
  • Develop an ongoing plan to manage and own territory, including knowledge of market size and competition, how to best sell versus competitors, all potential prospects, and key influencers in territory
  • Develop effective recruiting strategies, including client-specific recruiting and talent referral plans
  • Participate in daily huddles to prioritize orders (rotating lead); help ensure opportunities are fairly allocated amongst the team and orders are kept up to date; and start and end each day in the branch
  • Conduct monthly 1-1 meetings and quarterly goal reviews with team for personal and professional development, including accompanying business development manager on weekly meetings and conducting weekly coaching meetings to review progress
  • Coach and counsel non-performing staff, implement action plans as needed
  • Play an active role in succession planning; build bench, develop and retain strong internal team to promote from within, including identifying promotion opportunities
  • P&L owner for the branch, proactively monitor branch KPIs and collections, and play an active role in setting annual financial goals and participating in monthly/quarterly financial updates
  • Assist with rolling out strategic initiatives to branch team; conduct weekly or monthly staff meetings to ensure clear and consistent communication of branch and company goals
  • Engage in cultural programming to create a welcoming, empowering, and fun environment for the team; embody the Openwork culture as a brand ambassador
  • Ensure Openwork policies and procedures are adhered to, provide constructive feedback to leadership, and proactively share suggestions for improvement
  • Conduct weekly checks to ensure compliance with client agreements (i.e., background checks, drug screens, I-9/E-Verify)
  • Resolve escalated human resources-related field talent issues as needed (i.e., WC, OSHA, EEOC, ADA); problem solve any other issues that may occur related to team, talent, or clients
  • Sign off on final payroll
  • Summarize key branch updates and sales pipeline progress weekly for manager
  • Reports to regional manager or RVP
