Job Summary

Volt is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team in a full-time, direct-hire opportunity. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Utilize mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems, utilities, buildings, and grounds.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Manage employees directly or through supervisors to ensure effective selection, retention, development, disciplinary action, and performance management.
  • Capital Projects: Administer the maintenance and capital projects for the site, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Asset Utilization: Utilize the CMMS to optimize asset utilization through scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Corrective Actions: Implement corrective actions identified by key maintenance performance indicators to create overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed with the latest and emerging industry regulations and codes relative to mechanical and electrical systems design and operation.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure corporate policies and standards are followed in both capital project implementation as well as daily maintenance.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree or some college is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in maintenance supervision in a food manufacturing environment is required.
  • Skills: Working knowledge/exposure to food manufacturing equipment, PLC experience (Allen Bradley platform), and working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems are desired.
  • Leadership: A minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience with maintenance technicians is required.
  • Software: Experience with CMMS required; MVP JDE experience is a plus.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures are preferred.
