Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist Level I to join our team in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform radiographic procedures, communicate with patients, and maintain accurate records. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures, including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic exams.
- Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and confirm understanding.
- Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations.
- Identify patient and label images, compare requisitions to physician's orders, and process images for quality and accuracy.
- Assist, communicate, and consult with radiologists.
- Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
- Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.
- Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
- Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
The successful candidate will be required to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday. They must also be able to stand/walk for the majority of the day and lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards as well as blood and body fluids; therefore, personal protective equipment must be worn as necessary.
Must have clear speech, vision, and hearing. Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
