Job Overview

Position Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Inventory and Shipping Specialist to become a vital part of our dynamic team at ColdSnap. This role involves overseeing the inventory of our innovative products and ensuring the timely dispatch of finished goods. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments including Production, Quality Control, and Sales Support, as well as liaising with our logistics partners.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Oversight:

  • Ensure precise tracking of inventory levels and update the management system as needed.
  • Generate and organize daily inventory pick lists.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in annual inventory audits.

Shipping Coordination:

  • Manage and schedule LTL pickups, overseeing drivers and shipments.
  • Coordinate with carriers for timely pick-ups.
  • Utilize material handling equipment, including pallet jacks.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.

Receiving Duties:

  • Inspect incoming shipments of food and beverage products to ensure they align with documentation and are in acceptable condition.
  • Support the unloading process of deliveries.
  • Collaborate with team members within the Production department.

Documentation Management:

  • Leverage ERP software and other tools to create and maintain essential documentation.
  • Investigate fulfillment discrepancies on a daily basis.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in operating electric forklifts.
  • Strong computer skills with a focus on accurate data entry.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and online shipping platforms.
  • Understanding of the bill of lading process and necessary freight carrier documentation.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, and able to thrive in a team environment.

Experience and Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in shipping or warehouse operations, preferably in the food manufacturing sector.
  • 4+ years of experience with ERP systems and inventory management.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift, push, and pull weights up to 75 lbs.
