Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble products according to engineering specifications and detailed drawings using provided tools.
- Utilize soldering equipment and hand tools to execute assembly tasks.
- Perform various assembly operations, including harness installation, wire stripping/crimping, and the assembly of large DC power supplies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to assemble prototype units.
- Propose solutions to assembly challenges regarding fixtures and tools.
- Assist fellow assemblers with inquiries related to product assembly.
- Availability for overtime work as needed, typically ranging from 5 to 10 hours per week.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting, or possession of a technical certificate.
- High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Candidates must be eligible to obtain the necessary export authorization.
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience as an assembler in defense manufacturing or aerospace sectors.
- Strong ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Proficient in basic mathematics (addition and subtraction).
- Familiarity with basic manufacturing tools and equipment, such as multimeters and torque gauges.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and independent work.
- High motivation and a proactive attitude.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Capability to perform repetitive hand movements.
- Ability to stand and walk as required.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs unassisted.
