We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Counsel/Senior Counsel to join our team at ADM. As a key member of our litigation team, you will be responsible for managing a significant litigation docket of active cases, handling disputes in a proactive manner, and anticipating and mitigating risks to achieve the best result for the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee a substantial litigation portfolio, ensuring timely and effective management of cases.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Manage government and third-party requests for information, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with outside counsel to optimize legal spend and develop innovative models for budgeting.
  • Provide counsel on commodities trading regulatory matters, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Illinois licensed attorney with 5+ years' litigation experience.
  • Demonstrated experience handling complex commercial litigation and regulatory matters.
  • Excellent advocacy, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision and direction from the Chief Litigation and Regulatory Law Counsel.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, self-disciplined, and team-oriented individual.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing outside counsel, evaluating litigation risk, and setting strategy on a case-by-case basis.
  • Broad and deep exposure to commodities regulations and interacting with regulatory agencies (CFTC, CME).
