As a Litigation Services Managing Clerk, you will be responsible for providing guidance on court rules and procedures to Kirkland's attorneys, paralegals, and staff. You will perform research and analysis of applicable court rules and practices and act as a dedicated resource for Kirkland attorneys on calendaring, procedure, and related litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing roadmaps to guide attorneys through procedural and logistical elements of complex court filings
• Proactively advising other attorneys on procedural questions and rules
• Liaising with court personnel to troubleshoot filings and miscellaneous issues
• Overseeing and performing major facets of the Managing Attorney's Office
• Researching and communicating new developments in litigation and court procedure
• Electronically filing court papers and coordinating with court personnel
• Monitoring cases and creating case trackers using various software
• Participating in continuing education and research to enhance competencies

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high degree of knowledge of applicable court rules and procedures. You will also need to be able to apply court rules in multiple jurisdictions quickly and efficiently. Additionally, you will need to have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Education and Experience

A J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school or a minimum of five years of related litigation experience may be considered in lieu of a J.D.
