Job Summary

The Attending Veterinarian will spearhead the veterinary services team, upholding exceptional animal care, cutting-edge veterinary medicine, and expert laboratory animal science expertise.

Main Responsibilities

  • Designs and executes laboratory animal science programs, integrating veterinary care, animal care, and administrative oversight in compliance with governing regulations and organizational policies.

  • Functions as the primary veterinarian, overseeing daily activities of the animal care and use program, ensuring alignment with company guidelines and USDA standards.

    ">
  • Delivers specialized guidance and consultation on animal health and welfare issues, encompassing anesthesia, analgesia, pain management, and disease modeling.

    ">
  • Conducts regular animal health assessments through direct observations.

    ">
  • Develops strategic plans for vivarium resource utilization, vivarium space design, and equipment acquisition.

Required Qualifications

An accredited veterinary degree combined with 10 years of relevant experience in laboratory animal medicine is mandatory.
