About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Registered Nurse in our Behavioral Health Inpatient unit at Lakeland Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals struggling with mental health and substance abuse disorders.

About the Unit

Our 26-bed inpatient behavioral health unit is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to patients with psychiatric and substance abuse disorders. With a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:7, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients.

Scope of Work

As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.

Qualifications
  • Associates in Nursing Required
  • Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
  • Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed healthcare role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
  • Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program Required
  • Experience in behavioral health/psychiatric care Preferred
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 6 months
  • Specialty Certification highly recommended
