Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the safe transportation of students from various pickup sites to final destination in a timely manner. The School Bus Driver CDL will ensure the reliability of vehicles used in the transportation of students.

Key Responsibilities:

Sign-in for morning and afternoon runs
Conduct daily pre-checks and post-checks of vehicles
Report any problems or deficiencies of vehicles
Maintain knowledge of safety features and ensure they are in working order
Provide exceptional customer service to schools, students, and community

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to stand, walk, and sit for sustained periods of time. The worker is subject to both environmental conditions, including proximity of moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, and exposure to heat. Some remote work may be necessary.

Requirements:

High School diploma or GED
Minimum age to drive - 21 years old
Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and communicate effectively
Valid driver's license, clean Hawaii Driver History Record, and Criminal Abstract
Ability to pass a DOT physical and meet all requirements of FMCSA, DOT, FTA, and DOE as applicable
First Aid, CPR Certified, and Defensive Driving Course completion
Ability to work flexible shifts and meet deadlines under pressure
