About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated X-Ray Technologist - Limited Scope to join our team at Concentra Career Choice. As a key member of our patient care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and escort them to dressing and x-ray rooms, providing verbal and/or written instructions and assisting patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed.
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes, positioning radiologic equipment and adjusting controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination.
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members.
  • Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order and report equipment malfunctions to Center Operations Director.
  • Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing and prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing.
  • Assist providers during examination and treatment and perform routine medical procedures as ordered by treating clinician.
  • Prepare and assist clinician with procedure set up and injury care and apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered by the treating clinician.
  • Dispense medications and DME as ordered by the treating clinician in accordance with state regulations.
  • Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices as well as testing processes used in the center.
  • Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms and maintain and operate all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures.
  • Notify supervisor immediately if equipment is not functioning properly, supplies are needed, or facility is not operating as expected.
  • Participate in initial and ongoing training as required and obtain all certifications required of Medical Support Specialists.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Certifications and/or Licenses: Completion of state approved Limited Scope Technician certificate program and license by the state in which employed, if applicable.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Job-Related Experience: Customarily has at least six months or more of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
  • Job-Related Skills/Competencies: Concentra Core Competencies of Service Mentality, Attention to Detail, Sense of Urgency, Initiative, and Flexibility.
