Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN Job Description

HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital is a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to join our team.


About the Role

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN will be responsible for conducting radiologic procedures to provide critical data for patient diagnosis. This includes operating x-ray equipment to produce high-quality images, performing x-ray therapy on patients, and administering barium salts or other chemical mixtures.


Key Responsibilities
  • Operate x-ray equipment to produce high-quality images of designated body parts
  • Perform x-ray therapy on patients to treat various medical conditions
  • Administer barium salts or other chemical mixtures to enhance imaging results
  • Operate stationary and portable equipment in various hospital settings
  • Develop and process radiographic images
  • Utilize knowledge of age-specific patient needs to deliver personalized care
  • Orient and mentor new staff members to ensure seamless onboarding
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff
  • Provide a safe environment for administering contrast material
  • Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
