We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Accountant to join our team at GEICO. As a key member of our Controller department, you will be responsible for performing advanced accounting activities, including financial reporting, analysis, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare complex financial reports and analyses to support business decisions
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Provide guidance and training to junior accounting staff members
  • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • At least four years of experience in public accounting or a corporate accounting environment
  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA license
