Job Description:
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Children's Behavioral Health Tech to join our team at Community Counseling Center. As a key member of our residential treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and adolescents in our 16-bed facility.
Responsibilities- Provide direct care to clients in a trauma-informed environment, promoting safety, comfort, and well-being.
- Assist clients with daily living skills, including household management and self-care management.
- Teach functional living skills, such as anger management, impulse control, social/communication skills, relaxation skills, and emotional coping skills.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to coordinate client care services and ensure seamless transitions.
- Document client observations and progress in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular checks, including personal belongings, room checks, and grounds checks.
- Transport clients to and from appointments as needed.
- Intervene in behavioral health crisis situations, using seclusion and/or restraint interventions as necessary.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in mental health, healthcare, or working with youth preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to obtain a Class E driver's license (Class D for IL residents) and proof of continuous auto insurance.
- Must meet CCC's Motor Vehicle Record standards policy.
