Position Overview:
The Engineering Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of projects, ensuring that all engineering tasks are in alignment with project objectives, standards, and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, execute, and monitor unique projects in collaboration with clients and internal teams using project management tools.
Interpret and implement projects according to the defined specifications and scope outlined in contractual documents. This may involve work for facilities with stringent documentation requirements.
Provide strong leadership to internal teams and external partners through effective communication, including organized kickoff meetings and documentation of agendas and minutes.
Identify, document, and manage engineering approvals, change orders, risks, and opportunities in accordance with relevant specifications. Ensure the availability of materials and resources to meet production timelines and delivery commitments. Oversee project progress to address material shortages and maintain scheduled timelines.Document and manage costs and expenditure timelines to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
Assist in the development of conceptual drawings under the guidance of the Senior Engineer.Required Skills and Qualifications:
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with proficiency in MS Office and file management.
Experience in creating layout drawings for structural, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
Support the sales team in developing project estimates and bid proposals.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on identifying and implementing innovative solutions to complex challenges.
Proficient in project management principles and tools, particularly in managing and controlling project timelines.
Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively while effectively managing and resolving conflicts.
Capability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and respect.Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
Education and Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a project engineering or scheduling role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with Microsoft Project is essential;
Preferred Education:
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Valid driving record
Ability to pass a drug test
Willingness to undergo a background check
Familiarity with AutoCAD/SolidWorks is advantageous.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time onsite role; standard hours are 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with occasional travel required.
