Position Overview

In this entry-level role, the HR Operations Specialist will support the ongoing functions of HR operations at Diamond Game, along with associated systems and processes, including benefits, talent acquisition, rewards, immigration, compliance, and employee transitions. This position requires a solutions-oriented mindset, fostering a collaborative and innovative leadership approach to enhance the work environment for the entire organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize your enthusiasm for people, systems, and processes to manage essential HR activities, ensuring the recruitment of suitable team members and the maintenance of a positive workplace atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with the HR management team to drive HR operations, focusing on talent acquisition, benefits, compensation, compliance, and employee lifecycle programs.
  • Encourage continuous improvement through leadership, guidance, and education.
  • Ensure compliance with HR regulations in both US and Canadian jurisdictions.
  • Oversee the organization's HR systems usage.
  • Facilitate HR interactions with other departments, including Payroll/Finance, IT, and Legal.
  • Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, security, and timely updates of HR data.
  • Assist in planning and executing employee training sessions and company events.
  • Be knowledgeable about PEO/HRIS systems functionality.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and other HR documentation.
  • Consistently embody and apply Diamond Game's core values.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a human resources-related field or a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience as a human resources generalist is required.
  • Project management experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Successful completion of a background and credit check is required.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office365, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat is required.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint is preferred.
  • A solid understanding of human resources principles, policies, and practices is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organizational abilities, and effective prioritization are necessary.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills for clear and concise verbal and written information dissemination.
  • Experience with Professional Employer Organizations (PEO) is advantageous but not required.
