Job Title: Engineering Manager - Electric Utility Design

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Electric Utility Design team in Honolulu, HI. As a key member of our Power Delivery Services Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and construction of electrical overhead and underground distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the design and construction work package development of electrical overhead and underground distribution systems.
  • Ensure project and program deliverables meet Leidos and Client quality requirements.
  • Lead a team of engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables.
  • Develop and implement project management plans to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements:
  • BS Degree in an Engineering Discipline and 6+ years of relevant experience with 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Professional Engineer License in Hawaii or ability to obtain PE License in Hawaii within 6 months of hire.
  • Knowledge of NESC Standards required.
  • Experience with distribution design tools such as BOUD, Pole Foreman, Spida-Calc, O-Calc.
  • Knowledge of Client (HEI) Standards preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) required.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Previous Experience managing/supervising employees.
  • Proficiency in Project Management for engineering design.
  • Ability to work directly with Clients and Client's Customers to maintain project scope, schedule, and budget.
