Ambulatory Clinic Patient Access Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team at UCHealth. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth registration and access of patients to our ambulatory care services.
Key Responsibilities- Meet with patients and/or their caregivers to exchange necessary information and documentation, providing explanations of visit instructions and addressing concerns and questions.
- Communicate with referring providers' offices, clinical departments, and/or other personnel to exchange necessary information and determine schedules.
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization as necessary.
- Determine and accept required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refer to financial counselors for follow-up.
- Ensure that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy.
