Patient Access Coordinator

We are seeking a motivated Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Webb Pediatric Primary Care Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth registration and discharge of patients into our EPIC system.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform all components of patient registration/discharge into the EPIC system, including entering charges for services, data entry, and chart breakdowns.
- Prepare daily cash deposits and maintain logs.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answer telephones, and support nursing and counseling staff.
- Verify and update patient demographics information and billing insurance information for new and existing patients.
- Coordinate bed assignments, transfers, and discharges through various applications and maintain communications with inpatient nursing units and nursing supervisors.
- Call insurance companies for treatment authorization and benefit information.
- Maintain quality assurance scores of 98% or higher in conjunction with department expectations.
- No experience required.
- No High School Diploma and/or No GED Required.
- Licenses: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Organization and Attention to detail.

- Ability to Problem Solve.
- Ability to prioritize workflow and determine priority.
- Ability to demonstrate professional work behavior by following Denver Health guidelines/policies.
- Ability to multi-task and handle a high volume of tasks at one time.
- Ability to enter data quickly and accurately.
- Ability to complete daily work by the end of the shift.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Ability to type 25 wpm.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Epic.
