As an IT Assurance Intern, you will collaborate closely with our Risk Assurance Services (RAS) team. Your role will involve assisting in the evaluation, testing, and analysis of the effectiveness of client IT systems and controls. This internship provides invaluable hands-on experience in IT auditing, risk management, and compliance within a dynamic and cooperative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing IT risk assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and weaknesses in client systems.
- Engage in the evaluation of IT policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory mandates.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to collect and analyze data related to IT systems, processes, and controls.
- Support the formulation and execution of remediation strategies to address identified risks and control deficiencies.
- Document findings, observations, and recommendations in clear and concise reports for management review.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Anticipated graduation between December 2025 and June 2026.
- Preferred major GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Familiarity with IT frameworks and standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and NIST is advantageous.
- Understanding of IT auditing principles, methodologies, and tools is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
