Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Technologist to join our team at Nuvance Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will assist physicians in interventional procedures and take x-rays and angiographs as ordered by referring physicians under state and registry guidelines.

Responsibilities:

1. Take quality diagnostic images, verifying physicians' orders and entering patient demographics.

2. Assist/scrub with radiologists, utilizing universal precautions at all times.

3. Explain procedures to patients and answer any questions.

4. Administer and record isotope dosage according to established departmental protocol.

5. Observe patients during procedures and report abnormal activity, ensuring radiation protection.

6. Order supplies and inventory, stocking all necessary items daily.

7. Chart patients' accounts accurately.

8. Schedule Interventional Procedures efficiently.

9. Monitor radiographic quality for optimal diagnosis, ensuring proper film identification.

10. Perform all CME functions prior to submitting cases for dictation.

11. Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification, State of Connecticut Radiographer licensure, and ACLS/BLS certification are required.

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Salary Range: $ hourly (Pay per years of relative experience)
