Compensation: Up to $48,484.89 annually, based on education, experience, and qualifications.

Appointment Period: September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2027, exempt.

Key Responsibilities

The full-time non-tenure track Clinical Education Faculty position entails a teaching load of 70%, requiring the individual to instruct three courses each semester. Depending on the preferred qualifications in school counseling, this individual will contribute as faculty in the school counseling program and assist the department in meeting its capacity needs.

Essential Qualifications
  • A doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP accredited program.
  • One or more years of post-master's clinical experience and/or teaching experience in counselor education.
  • Proven effectiveness in teaching Counseling courses through various formats.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, faculty, and administration.
  • Commitment to high-quality teaching and professionalism.
  • Willingness to engage in regular meetings and departmental committees.
Preferred Qualifications
  • LPC or LPC-S licensure and/or School Counseling Certification.
  • One or more years of post-doctoral teaching experience in Counselor Education and Supervision.

Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work both remotely in Texas and on the UTSA downtown campus (approximately five or more days on campus per month). Travel and parking expenses are the responsibility of the employee. Candidates must be adaptable and willing to work in both settings.
