Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our team in Missoula, MT. The successful candidate will provide support, encouragement, and empowerment to clients navigating their recovery journey.
Salary Information
$17.50 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Provide transportation for clients to their appointments as needed.
- Facilitate recovery-based group activities to support client engagement and growth.
- Evaluate and assess factors that may hinder clients' ability to live independently or integrate into the community.
- Address and improve communication skills in individuals to enhance their interactions.
- Implement effective skills and strategies to help clients manage their symptoms.
- Assist individuals in developing and strengthening their social support systems.
- Help clients adapt skills for various life domains, including home, work, education, leisure, and social activities.
- Provide immediate crisis intervention when necessary to ensure client safety and well-being.
- Document daily activities and progress for each client accurately and promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as a Peer Support Specialist (or the opportunity to obtain certification).
- Experience in supporting individuals with mental health challenges and dual diagnoses.
- HIPAA compliance and confidentiality at all times.
