Medical Laboratory Technician

Legent Health is seeking a skilled Medical Technologist to perform moderate and high complexity testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory procedures and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform moderate and high complexity testing, analyzing and reviewing test results and quality control results.
- Ensure specimen integrity by adhering to laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing.
- Utilize technical skills and abilities to accurately handle and process specimens.
- Follow laboratory procedures for specimen processing and correctly identify proper tubes, containers, transport media, and storage temperature for each test type.
- Participate in departmental quality assurance programs and participate in departmental training programs.
Requirements:
- MLT-Associates of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- MT-Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology or Chemical, Biological, or Physical Science.
- Preferred - Certified in Clinical Laboratory Science by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent.
- Minimum – One year of laboratory training or experience or both in a laboratory performing high complexity testing required.
- Preferred – Two years of laboratory training or experience or both in high complexity testing within specialty.
