Job Summary

ECS Limited is seeking a talented Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Soils Laboratory Technician to join our Dallas team. As a Soils Laboratory Technician, you will perform specific tasks associated with conducting laboratory testing on construction materials for various projects under the supervision of senior technicians and other lab staff.

Responsibilities
  • Laboratory Activities: Conduct routine laboratory tests using various methodologies and testing equipment following industry standards and compliance.
  • Laboratory Safety and Compliance: Assist with tasks to maintain laboratory organization and cleanliness in compliance with Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) initiatives to maintain accreditation compliance.
  • Soils Testing: Conduct routine laboratory tests for soils including Atterberg limits, gradation analyses, swell testing, moisture content testing, unconfined compressive strength testing, standard and modified proctor testing, and begin learning how to visually classify soils.
  • Data Collection: Perform calculations and data reduction based on test results.

Requirements
  • No experience required.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be willing to obtain and maintain laboratory certifications for soils.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
