We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Psychologist to join our faculty team at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing clinical services to children and adolescents, participating in program development, and contributing to the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Key Responsibilities- Administration: Perform administrative duties, serve on department and university committees, and maintain confidentiality of department and patient information.
- Teaching: Participate in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, develop educational curriculum, and serve as a psychotherapy supervisor.
- Research: Develop a line of research in child and adolescent psychiatry, collaborate with other psychology and child faculty, and participate in grants and clinical trials.
- Clinical Service: Provide consultation and psychological testing, provide outpatient services to children, families, and adults, and maintain an active outpatient practice.
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical psychology, health psychology, counseling psychology, or related field.
- Completion of appropriate and relevant post-doctoral training.
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Clinical Psychologist by the State of Illinois.
- Sensitivity to the needs of underrepresented minority populations.
