Program Overview:


The University of Texas Medical Branch seeks a skilled Nursing Program Manager to lead the strategic planning and operational management of assigned programs and/or projects. This role requires a strong background in nursing and leadership, with a focus on delivering high-quality, cost-effective services and outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement effective strategic plans for assigned programs and/or projects.
  • Direct the operational management of programs and/or projects to ensure high-quality, cost-effective services and outcomes.
  • Lead the personnel management of employees assigned to programs and/or projects, ensuring compliance with state and federal labor laws and hospital policies.
  • Manage the financial aspects of programs and/or projects to ensure desired fiscal status and optimal service outcomes.
  • Promote patient and family advocacy, maintain ethical practice, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and support nursing research within the program and at the department and service level.
  • Demonstrate high productivity and dependability, providing leadership and promoting teamwork.
  • Support the professional development of self and others, identifying internal controls and mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in nursing and current licensure or valid permit to practice professional nursing in Texas.
  • Equivalent of four years RN experience, including two years progressive management experience.
  • Approved specialty certification required (as applicable to assigned program(s)/project(s)).

Work Schedule:


Administrative on-site role, 8 AM - 5 PM (with flexibility).
