Lead Financial Accountant

Position SummaryThe Senior Accountant plays a crucial role within the Corporate Accounting and Finance division. This position demands a meticulous approach, coupled with outstanding organizational, analytical, and communication skills, both verbal and written. The Senior Accountant will take charge of fixed asset reporting and will be responsible for various month-end closing and reconciliation tasks.
Key QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting.
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience in a multi-division manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a mid-tier financial ERP system (preferably Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Uphold the company's mission and values through leadership, teamwork, and accountability to achieve corporate goals.
- Analyze and report on capital expenditures against the planned budget.
- Manage the fixed asset system, including tracking additions and disposals, monthly depreciation, and necessary reporting.
- Support all month-end closing and reporting requirements.
- Oversee or serve as Admin for Corporate accounting software (e.g., Planning Analytics, Concur, SAGE Fixed Assets, KISSFlow, Smartsheet).
- Drive process improvement initiatives within Corporate and Divisional Accounting.
- Evaluate internal controls for Corporate accounting functions, propose enhancements, and create process documentation as required.
- Facilitate the integration of new business units into financial reporting processes and systems.
- Work effectively with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Enhance professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations.

Technical Skills- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
