About the Opportunity
Hartford HealthCare (HHC), the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Connecticut, has a new opportunity available for a Rheumatology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in an ambulatory care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide initial and follow-up consultations for rheumatology patients, including but not limited to Arthritis (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis), Osteoporosis and metabolic bone diseases, Gout, pseudogout, Polymyalgia rheumatic, Ankylosing spondylitis and arthritis associated with inflammatory bowel diseases, Lupus, scleroderma and connective tissue disorders, Myositis and myopathy, Lyme disease.
- Perform joint injections and gain an understanding of immunosuppressive and biologic therapies.
- Collaborate with seasoned office staff and providers from other specialties on-site.
- Participate in provider committees, system-wide initiatives, and system-wide rheumatology meetings.
- Enjoy a consistent and stable patient census with a manageable workload.
