Business Systems Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team at the State of Michigan. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) in the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Child Welfare & Child Support Services Area.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, with experience in gathering requirements, analyzing data, and developing solutions to complex technical problems. You will work closely with agency clients, teams, and software and hardware vendors to ensure that the CCWIS system meets the needs of our stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Perform complete, beginning-to-end, coordination of incoming technical problems and service requests.
- Analyze, gather requirements, research, troubleshoot, set up/coordinating work requests, and lead ongoing customer interaction in all capacities (meetings, status updates, testing, and follow-up).
- Collaborate with agency clients, teams (including Development, Web, Database, Quality Assurance, Business Analysts, Client Specialist, Infrastructure, Field Services, Business), and software and hardware vendors.
- Exercise a high level of customer service skills, work independently, and with others.
- Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management, or mathematics.
- Or an associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, information assurance, data processing, computer information, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, IT project management, or mathematics; and at least 2 years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician.
- Or at least an educational level typically acquired through the completion of high school, and at least 4 years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, information technology technician, or at least four years (8,320 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant.
