Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the DHS account, including identifying new opportunities and building relationships with key stakeholders.
- Lead the development of capture strategies and proposals for DHS-related business opportunities, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with DHS customers, understanding their needs and developing solutions that meet their requirements.
- Collaborate with the technology team to develop innovative solutions that meet the needs of DHS customers.
- Manage and execute the full business development life cycle, from opportunity qualification to proposal submission and contract award.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the DHS market, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to the Growth Vice President for Homeland and Force Protection Business Area.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of relevant experience in business development, with a proven track record of success in the DHS market.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies.
- Ability to think strategically and drive growth within the DHS market.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Subject matter expertise in DHS, Force Protection, Biometrics, and/or Software Development and Integration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience leading people, teams, and programs.
- Experience working in or with DHS, with a deep understanding of the market and its challenges.
- Federal Security Clearance.
- Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision, and establish solid working relationships with technical staff, division managers, and peers across the corporation.
