Clinical Education Specialist Perioperative Services

The Clinical Education Specialist role is a key position in our Perioperative Services team, responsible for ensuring that team members working in Pre-Op/PACU and the Operating Room have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care. This includes supporting onboarding and orientation, leading initiatives around role development, and collaborating with other departments to advance our educational programs.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members
- Collaborate with other departments to advance our educational programs and ensure alignment with organizational goals
- Support onboarding and orientation of new team members
- Lead initiatives around role development and professional growth
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to education and training
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent
- 5 years of clinical pediatric experience
- Previous experience as an OR nurse strongly preferred
- BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- ANCC or Magnet approved certification within one year of hire
