Job Summary

SpaceX is seeking a highly skilled Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper operating condition of all assets, including equipment, machinery, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with mechanical systems, including pumps, chillers, gearboxes, and other equipment.
  • Technical Skills: Possess strong technical skills, including the ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and drawings.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work varying shifts, including overtime and weekends.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year of maintenance technician experience required; 5 years of experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong technical skills, including experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical repair; ability to operate a forklift and other related inventory equipment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 25-30 lbs., standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position.

  • ITAR Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
