GXO Logistics is seeking a talented Senior Operations Manager to oversee the daily management of our national returns processing and outbound order preparation for a multichannel distribution center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising, motivating, and coaching warehouse associates to drive quality operations and meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and motivate warehouse associates to achieve operational excellence
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and coordinate repair needs
  • Manage inventory control processes to ensure accurate and efficient storage and retrieval of goods
  • Implement Lean methodologies to drive quality operations and reduce waste
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to measure performance and drive improvement
  • Lead the operations team to support value-added services and meet or exceed lead time requirements
  • Initiate and facilitate projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee morale

Requirements:

  • 5 years of relevant work experience in logistics or supply chain management
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and computerized scanner equipment
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
  • Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience
  • Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL)
  • Solid problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills

Physical Demands:

  • Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time
  • Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel
  • Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
