Responsibilities:
• Interpret complex data sets, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports to stakeholders.
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
• Acquire data from primary or secondary sources and maintain databases/data systems to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to inform business decisions.
• Filter and "clean" data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs, and locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
• Use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports, and identify and recommend new ways to save money by streamlining business processes.
• Create models that depict trends in the customer base and the consumer population as a whole, and work with departmental managers to outline the specific data needs for each business method analysis project.
• Evaluate changes and updates to source production systems, and provide technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
• Support initiatives for data integrity and normalization, and provide training to end-users on new reports and dashboards.
Skill sets/Experience we require:
• Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst, with technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
• Strong knowledge and experience with reporting packages, databases, programming languages, and ETL frameworks.
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings, with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Coupa experience is a nice to have, and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics is required.
