Key Responsibilities:- Classroom Support:
- Assist the Lead/Head Teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities to promote student engagement and academic growth.
- Help with setting up and cleaning up classroom materials and equipment to maintain a well-organized and efficient learning environment.
- Supervise and engage with students during classroom activities, ensuring a positive and inclusive atmosphere that fosters social and emotional development.
- Student Interaction:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, addressing their academic and social needs to promote individualized learning and development.
- Assist with behavioral management and support positive behavior strategies to encourage responsible and respectful behavior.
- Foster a supportive and caring atmosphere that encourages students' emotional and social growth, and promotes a sense of belonging and community.
- Administrative Duties:
- Help with classroom record-keeping, including attendance and student progress tracking to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
- Prepare and organize educational materials and resources to support lesson plans and activities.
- Assist with communication and relaying information between parents and the school to maintain open and transparent communication.
- Health and Safety:
- Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, adhering to school policies and procedures related to child safety and emergency protocols.
- Assist with health-related tasks, including administering first aid if necessary, to provide prompt and effective support in case of an emergency.
- Professional Development:
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to stay informed about current early education practices and methodologies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure that teaching methods and strategies are current and effective.
