Job Summary

This position is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images while providing exceptional patient care. The incumbent must be accountable for individualized patient care while in the Radiology Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce optimal diagnostic images using radiographic principles and equipment.
  • Provide excellent patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs.
  • Operate imaging equipment and related machinery, verifying and executing physicians' orders for diagnostic and therapeutic exams.
  • Ensure patient safety and well-being during procedures.
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures of the human body.
  • Regulate patient flow and consult with Radiologists to determine contrast media and improve image quality.
  • Assist other modalities within the department or Renown Health System as needed.
Requirements
  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an AMA-approved hospital-based program.
  • Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification upon hire.
  • State of Nevada license for Medical Radiography upon hire.
  • Must obtain AHA BLS certification within sixty (60) days of employment.
Computer / Typing Skills

The incumbent must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
