Position Overview:

Are you a licensed Radiologic Technologist with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care in a dynamic clinical setting? At Reno Orthopedic Center, we are seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to contribute to our mission of providing high-quality imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Radiologic Technologist, your primary role will involve capturing precise images as directed by healthcare providers to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. Your contributions are vital, as accurate imaging is essential for informed medical decisions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating advanced radiologic equipment to generate high-quality images of specific body areas as requested by medical professionals, including the use of C-arm and fluoroscopy;
  • Adjusting equipment settings to ensure optimal image quality, including voltage, current, exposure time, and distance;
  • Conducting patient screenings for imaging safety, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns prior to scanning;
  • Positioning patients effectively using protective measures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations;
  • Evaluating images for technical quality and documenting imaging procedures in electronic medical records;
  • Maintaining quality control in accordance with industry standards and guidelines;
  • Preparing the radiology department by cleaning and stocking necessary supplies;
  • Providing excellent customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations;
  • Exhibiting calmness in high-pressure situations and ensuring regular attendance to support clinic operations.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Certification:
    • High School Diploma or GED;
    • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT);
    • Current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Familiarity with radiology safety protocols and regulations;
    • Understanding of HIPAA and OSHA standards;
  • Experience:
    • Proficiency in using computer systems and applications;
    • Effective communication skills with patients and medical staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in a radiologic technologist role;
  • Experience with radiology software applications.

Work Environment:

This position operates within a clinical environment, where exposure to various health-related conditions may occur. The role requires frequent standing and walking to perform imaging tasks, and the noise level is typically moderate.

Schedule:

Work hours may include evenings and weekends, determined by management needs.
