Radiologic Imaging Specialist

Position Overview:
Are you a licensed Radiologic Technologist with a passion for delivering high-quality imaging services? At Reno Orthopedic Center, we are seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to enhance our clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
The Radiologic Technologist will play a crucial role in acquiring diagnostic images as directed by healthcare providers, ensuring that the imaging process is executed with precision and care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating advanced radiologic equipment to capture images of specified body areas as per medical requests, including the use of C-arm and fluoroscopy;
- Adjusting machinery settings to achieve optimal image quality, including voltage, current, exposure time, and distance;
- Conducting patient screenings for imaging safety, providing clear explanations of procedures, and addressing any concerns;
- Positioning patients accurately using protective measures and immobilization techniques to comply with safety regulations;
- Assessing images for technical quality and documenting all imaging activities in electronic medical records;
- Maintaining compliance with quality control standards set by the American College of Radiology;
- Preparing the radiology workspace by ensuring cleanliness and proper equipment maintenance;
- Delivering exceptional patient care while adhering to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations;
- Exhibiting professionalism and composure in high-pressure situations;
- Ensuring consistent attendance and punctuality to support clinic operations.
Qualifications:
- Education and Certification:
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist from the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT);
- Valid state license for Radiologic Technologists.
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with radiology safety protocols and procedures;
- Understanding of HIPAA and OSHA regulations;
- Experience:
- Proficiency in using computer systems and applications;
- Strong communication skills with patients and medical staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One or more years of experience in a radiologic technologist role;
- Experience with radiology software applications.
Work Environment:
This position operates within a clinical setting, with potential exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials. Physical demands include frequent standing and walking to obtain images, and the work environment typically has a moderate noise level.
Schedule:
Work hours may include evenings and weekends, determined by management discretion.
