Responsibilities
  • Diversity Outreach and Recruitment
    • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract underrepresented student populations to the University.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with community-based organizations and school networks to support University mission and goals.
    • Contribute to planning and implementing group campus visits, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience for prospective students.
    • Establish expertise in community-based and partnership organization data flows through admission CRM.
    • Assess data related to the recruitment of students from underrepresented populations and develop proactive approaches to trends and changes that impact student progression.
    • Recruit, hire, and train student employees who support Admission programming.
    • Establish relationships with faculty and staff who support the recruitment of underrepresented students.
  • Prospect Management Responsibilities and General Recruitment Activities
    • Develop short- and long-range prospect management goals and action plans for assigned territory.
    • Utilize relational databases to assess recruitment activities and determine effective recruitment and yield strategies.
    • Plan and implement admission activities related to the recruitment and yielding of prospective students.
    • Build relationships with prospective students and serve as primary point of contact for designated geographic territory.
    • Counsel students to determine their educational interests and needs.
    • Create and deliver informative messages that address the educational needs of various constituents.
    • Review applications and prepare them for presentation to the Admission Committee.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience (for Assistant Director) and five years of experience (for Senior Assistant Director) in college admission.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Advanced problem-solving capabilities and strong work ethic.
  • Persuasive oral communication skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Knowledge of national student markets and mobility trends.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $41,018 and $62,483, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
