Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mainframe CICS Systems Programmer to join our Optimize team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing support of all mainframe CICS, including troubleshooting, problem resolution, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement CICS TS installations and upgrades, providing support for related OEM software products.
  • Lead self and others, established as a product SME and/or specialist.
  • Provide technical support for multiple configurations of CICS TS software solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, participating in meetings.
  • Work directly with software vendors on new solutions and product defects.
  • Enhance the performance of others through mentoring and guiding.
  • Document problem analysis, resolution, and prevention, designing procedures and best practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on/industry CICS TS experience on z/OS.
  • Bachelor's degree required and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to perform complex ISV installations and upgrades.
  • Ability to lead complex projects.
  • Customer service skills at a management/client level.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of a large-scale 24/7 production environment.

  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills with knowledge of problem analysis.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor and show leadership qualities.
  • Experience establishing and documenting processes and procedures.
  • Willingness to take ownership of issues and progress to resolution.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Basic SharePoint knowledge.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and upgrading MQ and/or WAS on z/OS.
