SUMMARY:
As an Audiovisual Systems Specialist, you will be integral to the installation, upkeep, and support of audiovisual systems. Your role will involve collaboration with clients, vendors, and team members to guarantee the smooth operation and exceptional performance of AV equipment. This position demands a blend of technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, production experience, and outstanding customer service.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Install, configure, test, and provide technical assistance for audiovisual equipment, including projectors, laptops, desktops, sound systems, video conferencing systems, content management systems, and digital displays.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of AV systems to ensure peak performance.
  • Offer technical support to clients and end-users, efficiently resolving AV and basic PC/MAC related issues.
  • Work alongside project managers, vendors, and other team members to plan and execute AV events, meetings, installations, and upgrades.
  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate AV requirements and suggest suitable solutions.
  • Document all installations, configurations, and maintenance activities thoroughly.
  • Stay informed about the latest AV technologies and industry developments.
  • Educate clients and end-users on the operation and maintenance of AV equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and best practices in all AV-related tasks.
  • Perform other organizational technology project duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in audiovisual technology is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of proven experience as an Audiovisual Systems Specialist or in a similar capacity.
  • Advanced understanding of current enterprise conferencing software (e.g., Teams, Zoom, Webex).
  • Experience with AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron, Shure).
  • Strong familiarity with audiovisual equipment, including projectors, sound systems, contemporary video conferencing systems, and displays.
  • Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting AV systems.
  • Knowledge of networking and IP-based AV systems.
  • Ability to perform basic Ethernet cable installation and repairs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and at various client sites as required.
  • Physical capability to lift and transport heavy equipment, climb ladders, and execute other physical tasks associated with AV installations.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Must have a flexible schedule, hours may vary (Monday to Friday with some weekends)
Overtime is anticipated and shift changes may occur.
Travel may be required.
