Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Sharp Electronics Corporation. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing multifunctional office equipment, including copy/print devices, stand-alone copy and print devices, and conference room visual presentation solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair multifunctional office equipment, including copy/print devices, stand-alone copy and print devices, and conference room visual presentation solutions.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve overall service delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and product developments to provide expert advice and support to customers.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical vocational schooling in electronics or electro-mechanical preferred, or experience in copier repair or repair and maintenance of electronic equipment.
  • Must possess or achieve Comptia A+ certification within one (1) year of hire.
  • Strong communication and mechanical aptitude skills required.
  • Must successfully complete Sharp equipment pre-testing and training.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software products preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and Automobile insurance within company guidelines.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to travel locally on a daily basis to various customer sites.
  • Requires frequent kneeling and bending and considerable use of hands and tools.
  • Frequently requires moving or lifting of up to 50 pounds and able to lift 75 on occasion.
  • Exposure to live electrical circuits.
  • Exposure to extreme environmental conditions, including extreme heat, extreme cold, and working with flammable liquids and solids.
  • Able to work in confined spaces.
  • Must have specific vision abilities required by this job, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
