We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health team at Sovah Health - Danville. As a key member of our care team, you will provide direct patient care to patients with mental health conditions, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients with mental health conditions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, and referral.
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Document patient care and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
- Registered Nurse from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact State required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required.
