Job Title: Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) SpecialistWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EHS Specialist to join our team. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate with supervisors and shop floor personnel to engage in daily safety discussions and ensure a culture of safety and sustainability.
- Assist in incident investigations and provide direct support to the plant EHS Leader and plant staff to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Investigate, recognize, report, and recommend corrective actions on safety and environmental compliance issues to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Develop and/or present EHS training materials to plant employees to enhance their knowledge and skills in safety and sustainability.
- Audit and maintain systems to ensure compliance with all applicable environmental programs and regulations.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement for safety and environmental compliance to drive business growth and success.
- Provide support during regulatory compliance inspections to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an Associate Degree with a relevant EHS Professional Certification.
- At least 1-3 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel to create and analyze reports and data.
- Previous EHS experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Experience in Enablon or other EHS platforms to enhance EHS management and compliance.
- Lean and/or six sigma experience to drive process improvements and efficiency.
- Experience in coaching, training, networking, and facilitation to develop and implement EHS training programs.
