We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Freedom Pointe at The Villages. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our residents and guests.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook all menu items according to standardized recipes and special orders.
- Work collaboratively with the culinary team to provide quality services and meet the needs of our residents.
- Determine the amount and types of food and supplies required for daily menus and ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain the highest standards of quality, temperature, and presentation of all food.
- Ensure the kitchen meets health department and regulatory standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance.
- Comply with personal hygiene and dress code standards.
- Operate and maintain kitchen tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to provide exceptional service to our residents.
- Adhere to management team guidelines to maintain consistency in meeting resident needs.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, country club, or similar industry.
- Culinary education and supervisor experience preferred.
- Effective communication skills with residents, guests, and other departments.
- Knowledge of safe operation and maintenance of kitchen tools and equipment.
- ServSafe Certification required.
