Key Responsibilities
  • Screen passengers and their belongings using X-ray machines and other security equipment
  • Operate various security technology, including metal detectors and explosive detection systems
  • Conduct physical searches of passengers and their belongings
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and threats
  • Collaborate with other security personnel to ensure the safety and security of the airport and its passengers
Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship or national status
  • Age 18 or older
  • Selective Service registration (if applicable)
  • Pass a background investigation and medical evaluation
  • Pass a drug screening and random drug testing
  • Be available to work various shifts and overtime as needed
  • Be proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension)
Working Conditions

As a Transportation Security Officer, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to noise, crowds, and stress. You will be required to stand for long periods, lift and carry heavy equipment, and work in a variety of weather conditions.
