Job Summary

As a Sterile Processing Technician with Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care by processing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Decontaminate and sterilize medical instruments and equipment using various methods, including autoclaving and chemical disinfection.
  • Assemble and prepare instrument trays and sets according to established protocols.
  • Document all activities related to instrument processing and sterilization in our tracking system.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient processing and delivery of instruments to departments.
  • Participate in training and mentoring of new team members to ensure a smooth onboarding process.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent and 6 months of experience in a hospital or clinical setting are required. Certification as a CRCST or CSPDT is preferred, but not required. Work Environment

This is a night shift position, working in our Central Sterile department at Prisma Health's Richland Hospital. You will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to our patients.
