Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Makerspace Manager to oversee the operation of our College of Mathematics and Science School of Engineering Makerspace. The successful candidate will provide administrative support, coordinate day-to-day activities, and ensure the safety of the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the management of the Makerspace facility, including coordinating equipment maintenance and managing safety programs.
  • Perform technical and administrative tasks, such as inventory management and supply ordering.
  • Serve as the Makerspace safety and chemical hygiene officer, ensuring compliance with University and College regulations.
  • Provide support and assistance to students and faculty in the use of equipment and resources.
  • Develop and implement training programs for the use of equipment in the Makerspace.
  • Coordinate events, meetings, and outreach activities in the Makerspace.
  • Oversee swipe card access to the Makerspace and receive and distribute deliveries.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4+ years of relevant work experience. Experience in lab safety, equipment maintenance, and inventory management is highly desirable.

Working Conditions

This position requires occasional evening and weekend work to respond to Makerspace needs. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve results.
